Division of History of Science and Technology

Who are we

The Greek National Commisssion of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science/Division of History of Science and Technology (IUHPST/DHST) has been active since 2012. It is an Ordinary member of IUHPST/DHST and works to promote its aims. These are:

to establish and promote co-operation between historians of science and technology either individually or as members of institutions and societies dedicated to History of Science and Technology and related disciplines

to collect and provide for the conservation of artifacts and documents useful for the development of the History of Science and Technology and related disciplines

to promote the development, the diffusion and the organization of teaching and research in the History of Science and Technology and related disciplines

to help organize and participate in international Congresses of History of Science and Technology and international colloquia, and to sponsor or support other approved meetings of a similar character

to contribute to the establishment and maintenance of links between the different branches of human knowledge, while promoting gender balance and cultural diversity
